Laura Lopez is a senior attending at Cal State Long Beach and is working on getting her MFA degree in painting. As a young girl, Laura has always been interested in nature and plants and this is what her art is inspired bye.  She loves how nature builds and creates all sort s of life form and that they are all interconnected and grow together in ecosystem.Besides painting, Laura loves to hike and being creative on her free time. She was originally into photography but decided to purse her career in painting because of the way she feels a bigger connection to the art through painting.


Selvetica (wild) is an exhibition based on painting related to our nature depicted through colors, objects, and animal. There are several canvases in different sizes showing different view of nature through the different colors and shapes.

What i like about Laura’s paintings are the vibrant colors. Trees and animals that she painted where of unnatural colors, colors that you will never see trees and animals have.
